Jane Everhart

The landscape around me in the Midwest informs the choices that I make each week in my studio.  Glimpses of the wild—birds, animals, plants, trees—give me great charge, and I root for the wild, especially since the wild has great disadvantage sharing a place with us.  Art can regenerate us toward our best efforts:  I try for art in my work so that the viewer will, with renewal or spark, be reminded of their own place of grace amid the wide array, and be glad.
